Please note: This policy is intended for Place2Be students. If you are a member of staff or not a student, the content of this policy may not apply to you; however, you are still required to acknowledge and accept it in order to access Moodle.
Place2Be Student Acceptable Use Moodle Policy
I. Purpose and Scope:
The policy aims to protect Place2Be’s data, maintain security, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal guidelines.
It applies to all students using Place2Be’s Moodle and other digital learning resources.
Access to Place2Be systems and resources is provided only for the duration of the agreed training programme.
II. Acceptable Uses:
All information and data accessed through Place2Be platforms is confidential and must not be shared with third parties.
Students must comply with data protection regulations and GDPR when handling any personal or sensitive information.
III. Security Requirements:
Encryption – Personal devices used to access Place2Be systems must be encrypted and protected with a strong password.
Password management – Students must use strong, unique passwords for all Place2Be-related accounts.
Antivirus software – Approved antivirus software should be installed and maintained on students' personal devices.
Device management – Students must comply with any reasonable device management requirements.
Devices should never be left unattended while accessing sensitive information.
Only agreed file formats should be used when submitting documents (e.g., assignments should be submitted via Turnitin, unless otherwise stated, E.g. PDFs or Videos via email with approval).
Login credentials must not be shared under any circumstances.
Students must log out of Place2Be systems when using shared or public devices.
IV. Student Responsibilities:
Students are responsible for complying with all aspects of this Acceptable Use Policy.
Any suspected cybersecurity incident, data breach, or unauthorised access must be reported immediately the Programme Team (Course Tutor/ Programme Manager / Programme Coordinator).
Students must take appropriate precautions to secure their personal devices and prevent unauthorized access.
V. Review and Updates:
This policy will be reviewed and updated periodically to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
Students will be notified of any changes to the policy.
