As part of your induction pathway, which you've probably already started on the Learning Hub (Hive), you'll need to complete four compliance e-Learning courses and read a number of essential Place2Be policies. In addition, there are policies that all school based and clinical colleagues must also read.

We've set a suggested guide to the timeline from your first week to your first six months, however you can learn at your own pace and so use this as a guide, and do what works best for you. The mandatory compliance e-Learning modules you're asked to complete are, in alphabetical order:

  • Data Security Awareness - Level 1 (2025)
  • Display Screen Equipment (2025)
  • Fire Safety Awareness
  • Introduction to Working Safely
In addition to the Display Screen Equipment (DSE) course you're asked to complete a DSE Workstation Assessment, which you'll find in the DSE course contents. You'll also find this, plus a reminder of everything you need to do, in the final section of the Welcome to Place2Be induction pathway on the Learning Hub>>.

At the end of each month your Cascade 'Compliance & Mandatory Training' record is updated with all the e-Learning courses you complete here on Moodle. It's important you've completed all sections of the course, you can keep track using the course completion indicator to the left of the course details) if you miss any content or don't click on all interactive contents your course may register as incomplete and this won't then appear in your Cascade record.
